Will a sidekick work in the philippines?
so i'm getting an unlocked sk2 this summer from my grandparents and i was wondering, will it work here in the philippines after i put my SIM card in? Cause i've read about unlocked sidekicks and they say that you only need to change the settings...im confused about that..

Do Kindle Amazon work in the Philippines?
Do Kindle of Amazon work in the Philippines? because Whispernet isn't available in the Philippines. If I can actually purchase one and use it well in the Philippines, How much does it cost including the shipment and all the stuff when I order it from Amazon.com? and since Philippine does not have Whispernet, what are the pros and cons of having Kindle in the Philippines? Can the users have same benefits as the users in US benefit from the product?

purchase it online through amazon.com, then have it shipped to the philippines by regular mail or by fedex or another courier service. on the other hand, you can always make your laptop into a kindle, by using a reader software like adobe reader and microsoft reader. both applications have a reading feature. amazon kindle is just another fad that will go away anytime soon.

Because of import/export laws and restrictions amazon can't offer the Kindle to international customers.

will my dell laptop work in philippines?
i hear america laptops not work in phillipines, also im aware of 220 volt power they use there ant advise will be appreciated

YES BECAUSE PHILIPINES HAVE SPECIAL OXYGEN THAT THE LAPTOP NOTICES IT AND DETECTS IT IS IN PHILIPINES AND THEN IT EXPLODES, DONT TRY THIS AT HOME

Electronics in the US work everywhere... the only thing that you need to do is buy a ac to dc adapter so that you can plug it into their wall sockets. Thats all.... every computer works worldwide :-) Enjoy your time there!!

I have a Dell laptop that I took there without any problem. Just check the "brick" on the charger and it should say something about "input voltage". If it says 100 - 240V then that means it can handle anything in that range so either 110 (like the US), or 220 (like Philippines) will be ok. If it does not say that - then you would need to go to a local hardware store in the Philippines and get a transformer for about $10 to change the current from 220V to 110V.

duh.. im using my dell, bought it from michigan and it works.. you just need a transformer if your laptop is only 110 volts or it will blow up!
