Yes, you can. You just may need to get citezenship first.

This reply is painfully true. You are not the only one hoping to find a job in the Philippines. A lot of Filipinos would like one too. Good luck though.

it's harder to find a job in the philippines but you can still do it

of course but you have to have a visa and tells you the amount of time you stay there or be a citizen

Apply for dual citizenship first if you are carrying an american passport. Then join the pool of unemployed. Sorry to say that it is really hard to get a job now a days except if you have relatives that owns a business.

It may be so. Can you live on $4 a day?

sure u can, np, u can drive tricycle, or jeepney, but even that is kind of rough, why do you think so many filipinos are working abroad, they don't make much, but anything they make is much more than they would at home, why do you think all of those girls go to places like singapore, hong kong, the middle east, and all of those other third world dung holes where they work, they work as yaya, domestic helper, bargirls, nurses, entertainers(japan-japayuki) they are all over the world, why you would want to work in the phils is beyond me, unless you are white collar, and they may pay u in US$, otherwise u are on the local pay scale. good luck, better reserve your seat at the nearest sari-sari store and join your barkada as standby there, waiting for the next sucker to give you some pesos to buy a bottle of beer or ESQ, or ginebra san miguel. have fun
