Are there Pharmaceutical companies in the Philippines? How is employment for Pharmaceutical companies there? I worked for Pharmaceutical industry and was told that my job would be sent to Singapore. Apparently there are more opportunities to work in Singapore but I have heard that there are a few Pharmaceutical companies in the Philippines (Makati). I would prefer the Philippines over Singapore. So can anyone tell me if there are Pharmaceutical companies in the Philippines? And how employment opportunities are for Pharmaceutical companies there?

Most Pharmaceutical companies have large offices in the Philippines. You might want to apply here: 1. Unilab 2. Pascual Laboratories 3. Astra-Zeneca 4. Zuellig Pharmacies search them in google. Good luck.

OF COURSE THERE IS. We maybe a poor country but definitely we still have pharma companies that sale drugs. Just like any other countries around the world. What do you mean how is employment for a pharma companies? Haven't you been in a job yet? Any particular job? Why would someone ask how is employment if he or she hasn't been employed yet. Nobody ask this question. So you already worked for a pharma company so what is the big deal on asking a question on how is employment in a pharma company? It is like a janitor looking for a janitor job and still asking how is janitorial job there to one of his friends working in a building. Well quite the same I suppose. What you were doing in your former pharma company is precisely the same you will do in the other pharma company that you will transfer. I think that is common sense, don't you think? WHY NOT WORK IN SINGAPORE then, if I were you I rather work in Singapore. You will probably ask me why. Good I thought you never ask. Well for one thing, Singapore is one of the wealthiest countries in Southeast Asia compared to the Philippines. I'll make it simple, compare a toilet of a 5 star hotel to a one star or two star hotel. Walk and smell the difference. In a 5 star hotel every amenities is practically there while in a small time hotel you wouldn't enter a toilet on your own. Well Singapore is a 5 star while the Philippines is a small time hotel. Get the picture? As you said there are more opportunities in Singapore compared to the Philippines so why not grab those opportunity before they fly away. What you heard are true there are quite a few pharma companies right there in Makati area in Manila, Philippines. But if you are a Fil-Am wishing to land a job in the Philippines I suggest forget it. Most employer will choose a Filipino right there in the Philippines than you. You may ask again-why. Why because there is much higher unemployment right now in the Philippines. So instead of asking a foreigner like you to work for pharma in the Philippines why not a jobless Filipino right there in the Philippines. Correct right and a little bit common sense too. If I am an employer of a big pharma co. in the Philippines I rather choose a Filipino right here in the Philippines and probably tell you to just stick to your plan in going to Singapore. I do not know why you prefer the Philippines over Singapore. Let me guess over a gossip that Philippine girls are more beautiful than Singapore women, right or left? Right probably. I hope this help you a lot to think and reconsider in going to Singapore.
