My wife's friends daughter modeled for a while , can't remember her name but she did tell me it depends who you work for and how good you are ........ once the public puts you in the spotlight possibilities are endless..... regarding pay ......she didn't tell me.... but at present shes working a sari-sari store.....Hmmmmmm.......... I tried once and it was year 2001. They just pick me personally and i am not in contract with any modeling agency. They give us P500.00 each for just less than an hour of modeling (outfit and other accessories was provided by the company cause it's a mall). Today, I don't know how much the talent fee for modeling especially the one being handled by agencies.

Yes, you can. You just may need to get citezenship first.

This reply is painfully true. You are not the only one hoping to find a job in the Philippines. A lot of Filipinos would like one too. Good luck though.
3 :
it's harder to find a job in the philippines but you can still do it
4 :
of course but you have to have a visa and tells you the amount of time you stay there or be a citizen
5 :
Apply for dual citizenship first if you are carrying an american passport. Then join the pool of unemployed. Sorry to say that it is really hard to get a job now a days except if you have relatives that owns a business.
6 :
It may be so. Can you live on $4 a day?

sure u can, np, u can drive tricycle, or jeepney, but even that is kind of rough, why do you think so many filipinos are working abroad, they don't make much, but anything they make is much more than they would at home, why do you think all of those girls go to places like singapore, hong kong, the middle east, and all of those other third world dung holes where they work, they work as yaya, domestic helper, bargirls, nurses, entertainers(japan-japayuki) they are all over the world, why you would want to work in the phils is beyond me, unless you are white collar, and they may pay u in US$, otherwise u are on the local pay scale. good luck, better reserve your seat at the nearest sari-sari store and join your barkada as standby there, waiting for the next sucker to give you some pesos to buy a bottle of beer or ESQ, or ginebra san miguel. have fun

For example, if you purchase an Xbox 360 console in North America, you cannot play game discs that are sold in Europe or in Asia on that console. An Xbox 360 console that is sold in Europe can only play game discs that are sold in Europe. And an Xbox 360 console that is sold in Asia can only play game discs that are sold in Asia. You cannot modify an Xbox 360 console from one region to play discs or to play Marketplace content that was produced for a different region. Determine whether the game disc is from the same region as the region where you purchased the Xbox console. To determine the region, view the back of the game package. Look for one of the following codes: * NTSC: North America and South America (United States, Canada, Mexico, Chile, and Brazil) * NTSC-J: Asia (Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan) * PAL: Europe, South Africa, India, Australia, and New Zealand

You need to have a valid passport to travel to the Philippines. Then you need to apply for a work visa. See this website for more information: http://www.learn4good.com/travel/philippines_visas_requirements.htm
2 :
"All foreign nationals seeking admission to the Philippines for the purpose of employment, all non-resident foreign nationals already working in the Philippines, and all non-resident foreign nationals admitted to the Philippines on on-working visas, who wish to work in the Philippines, regardless of the source of compensation and duration of employment are required by the Philippine Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to secure an Alien Employment Permit (AEP). Foreign nationals can apply for an AEP at the nearest Philippine Embassy or Consulate. Local employers who wish to hire the services of a foreigner can apply on behalf of the foreign national at the nearest Regional Office of the DOLE. Foreign nationals who are already in the Philippines should apply through their prospective employers with the nearest Regional Office of the DOLE. " Here is more information: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwha006.html#Work

there is so much unemployment in the philippines , much less than in the united states, why go there and work, just visit the country and enjoy the place as a tourist and help the economy and don't take away jobs from those who really needed it.

You need to find a US based employer who needs you over there. No Filipino employer would consider hiring you. There's massive unemployment and enormous underemployment. Teachers earn $200 a month and doctors $300 a month. Fast-food places start their employees out at about $3 a day.
