It can but you have to add that feature to your phone. Call Verizon and ask about it
2 :
Well it depends on the type of coverage that the Phillippines has. The ally is not a global phone which means it does not have a sim card in it. If the Phillippines has CDMA coverage your phone can work if you add International coverage to it by calling or going into a store. If it is not CDMA and is GSM your phone will not work. The local store will have all this info.

You could attempt to be a English instructor or help English students with their studies. (I'm guessing and have no knowledge of the Phillipines) Perhaps you could find work anywhere that caters to American or English tourists.
2 :
First, you need to obtain a work visa or apply a working permit from DOLE Department of Labor and Employment to be able to do so.

Harry Stonehill began his career in the country by selling fire extinguishers. How about selling solar arrays with the end in view of cornering the solar energy market?

there are tens of thousands of willing, very Intelligent and well educated filipinos who can only find menial jobs at starvation wages, good luck with that.wait i know just resolve how to feed 12 people with 1 kilo of goverment rice

easy is right, if your American you need a income ie; retirement, too many Filipinos without descent jobs You could be a pimp like allot of other Americans, Aussies, Brits, Koreans and Japanese.
6 :
1) tour guide 2) If you're from America with none or some military experience, you can apply for a U.S. Embassy job, just google U.S. embassy Philippines. 3) Open a business, chicken is always in demand to sell to franchises like Jollibee, Chowking, etc 4) Open a business that rents vehicles to tourists 5) Depends what field you specialize in, and research on jobs like those. (ex: if you majored in lets say something in the medical field, apply at a hospital) The possibilities are endless, you just gotta put your skills to your advantage.
7 :
You would first have to have a Visa that allowed you to work and this will be nearly impossible to get unless an American company have sent you to the Philippines in a managerial capacity. You cannot own 100% of a business. You can only own 40% as a foreigner. As a business owner you will find it difficult competing against Filipino's in the same business. There is also cultural differences an American must lear to deal with when running a business in the Philippines. There are ways to own and operate an Internet business. There are foreigners that offer Internet services such as getting foreign goods like food and clothing to expats from back home; some offer gifts such as flowers, candy, etc to be delivered to Filipinos in the Philippines; some offer their services in helping foreigners get settle here like finding places to live, etc., some write articles and books, etc. But, it is difficult for a foreginer to make a living in the Philippines and without a retirement income from back home you are really taking a risk.

10% of the Philippine population are overseas workers because of lack of work opportunities in the Phils. You may want to engage in business instead.

Sure

It will work anywhere you can aquire a signal that broadcasts to all geosynchronis locations within the providers range. To put a finer point on it, you might have to find a new satellite service provider if the company (like HBO) doesn't have a bird that has that much reach. Also it will only work with a card that the provider recognizes and can program. Most companies will send you a new card when you sign up for their service. And finally, the Phillipines and Saudi Arabia are too far apart to share the same sattelite, but the provider might have overlapping 'birds'.

On one of two conditions. 1. It is a receiver made for a specific paid provider, and you can receive their satellite in The Philippines, and subscribe to the service. 2. It is an FTA receiver which can be tuned for any service, and that dish/LNBF is compatible with those satellites they are on.
